1. What this service is

IFSC Bank Guide is a free, advertising-supported information service. It lets you look up publicly available details about Indian bank branches from an IFSC code, and it publishes educational guidance about transacting safely.

We are an independent publisher. We are not a bank, a payment system operator, a financial institution or an agent of one, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Reserve Bank of India, the National Payments Corporation of India, or any bank named anywhere on this site.

2. Accuracy of branch information

Branch records are supplied by a third-party public dataset built on the RBI’s published branch list. We take care to present that data faithfully, but we do not warrant that any record is complete, current or correct, and records can be out of date after a branch merger, relocation or closure.

You must verify the IFSC code, account number and beneficiary name with your own bank or with the account holder before transferring money. A lookup on this site is a helpful check; it is not confirmation that a transfer will reach the intended person.

3. Not professional advice

Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and nothing here creates a professional relationship between you and us. Our guides describe how systems and rules generally work; your own circumstances may differ. Where a decision matters, take advice from your bank or a qualified professional.

4. Acceptable use

You may use this site for personal and ordinary business purposes. You may not:

• send automated or bulk queries, scrape the site, or place it behind any service that resells its results;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure;
• republish substantial parts of our guides as your own, or present our content as originating elsewhere;
• use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that would harm other users.

5. Third-party data, links and advertising

Lookups are served from a third-party dataset, and some pages link to external sites such as the RBI, NPCI and Government of India portals. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

This site is supported by third-party advertising. Adverts are supplied by external networks and their presence is not an endorsement of any advertiser, product or service. How advertising cookies are handled is set out in our Privacy Policy.

6. Intellectual property

The original text, guides, design and code on this site belong to IFSC Bank Guide and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back, and to share links freely; you may not copy a guide wholesale.

Bank names, trade names and codes are the property of their respective owners and are used here only to identify institutions factually.

7. Availability

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Lookups depend on a third-party service that may be slow or unavailable, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site — including any financial loss arising from a transfer you made after using a lookup or reading a guide. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes or as rules change. The version published on this page is the one that applies, and the date below tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of West Bengal, India shall have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
