Kotak Mahindra Bank: complaint, nodal officer and fraud contacts

Where to report a fraud and how to take a complaint up the ladder with Kotak, using only the contacts Kotak publishes on its own website, in the order to use them. IFSC Bank Guide is independent and not linked to Kotak.

If money has just left your account

Do these now, in this order:

  1. Call 1930, the national cyber crime helpline, or report at cybercrime.gov.in.
  2. Call Kotak’s fraud line, 1800 209 0000, and ask for your account, cards and UPI to be blocked.
  3. The same day, complain in writing at the first level of the ladder below, and keep the complaint number you are given.

Speed matters. If the fraud came from a breach elsewhere in the system, not from you sharing a PIN or OTP, reporting it within three working days of the bank’s alert keeps your liability at zero for transactions up to 31 December 2026. For transactions from 1 January 2027, the window is five calendar days from the fraud. What the RBI rules say.

Kotak’s complaint ladder

Go up a level only if the one before it has not solved the problem, and quote your earlier complaint number each time. These are the contacts Kotak gives on its own website:

Call first to block your account and cards. Lines are listed by the bank for unauthorised transactions.

    Phone: 1800 209 0000

    Open the official complaint form

  2. Level 1 · Customer care

    Email: customer.support@kotak.bank.in

    Phone: 1800 4100

Address: Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., P.O. Box 16344, Mumbai-400013

  3. Level 2 · Grievance redressal officer

If customer care's reply doesn't resolve it.

    Email: nodalofficer@kotak.com

    Phone: 022-62042110

Address: Nodal Officer, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ABR Emerald Building, Floor 8, Plot D8, Street 16, MIDC Central Road, Andheri East, Mumbai - 400093

  4. Level 3 · Principal Nodal Officer

The senior official for complaints. Write here if lower levels haven't resolved it, quoting your earlier complaint number.

    Email: pno@kotak.com

Address: Principal Nodal Officer, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ABR Emerald Building, Floor 8, Plot D8, Street 16, MIDC Central Road, Andheri East, Mumbai - 400093

  5. RBI Ombudsman

If Kotak does not reply within 30 days, or you are not satisfied with the reply, complain at cms.rbi.org.in or call 14448 for guidance. File within 90 days of the bank’s last reply, or of the 30 days running out. It costs nothing.

Kotak IFSC codes

Every Kotak branch code has 11 characters: KKBK, then 0, then six characters for the branch, like KKBK0XXXXXX. If a code someone sends you does not start with KKBK, it is not a Kotak branch.

Is it really Kotak?

Kotak’s website is www.kotak.bank.in. The email addresses on this page end in @kotak.bank.in or @kotak.com.

Many banks have moved their websites to .bank.in but still list some email addresses on older domains. Those are addresses the bank itself publishes.

  • No bank asks for your OTP, PIN, CVV or password, by phone, SMS, email or WhatsApp.
  • A “Kotak officer” writing from Gmail or another free email address is not Kotak.
  • Check any number or link you are sent against this page or www.kotak.bank.in before you call or click.
  • Beware the second scam: no bank, police force or “recovery agent” charges a fee to get your money back.

Where this comes from

Every contact on this page was copied from Kotak’s own website and checked on 3 November 2026. To check one yourself, open the page and search for the address (Ctrl+F, or “Find in page” on a phone). Officers move and addresses change; if one bounces, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it.

This page is general information, not legal advice. Contacts change: if Kotak’s website shows something different, follow Kotak’s website.
